This park was designated by its founder to be a place for children to learn about nature and the arts. I worked with two schools, Skyview Charter school, a 7th and 8th grade class to create 6 large mosaics depicting local flora and fauna. And with Mountain Oak Charter school which is a Waldorf style school, we created a 15’ long, curved wall that acknowledged all the people and organizations that have donated time and or materials to the creation of Acker Park.
