New
Project - The Gypsy Wagon
I am building
a gypsy caravan-inspired travel trailer for our personal
use and enjoyment. I post regular updates on its
progress in my blog -
Adventures In The Zone.
This is not an easy project and it will cost a bit to
realize. At the same time, business has fallen off and I
am running seriously short on money. Therefore I am offering three of my sculptures
at a lower price than usual so I can fund the creation
of the Gypsy Wagon and keep things going until business
picks up.
From now until
March 1, 2010, the following sculptures will be priced
at what amounts to a wholesale price. If they were in a
gallery, they would be listed at nearly twice these
prices.
 COSMOS
- a complex wind sculpture over 20 feet tall and 12 feet
in diameter at the base. It has been been used in a
recent Bruce Willis movie, The Surrogates, is shown in
the 2010 Burning Man wall calendar, and a photo of it
appeared in Wired Magazine's online version in 2004.
It's gallery price would be $26,000. I am offering it
for $16,000 until March 2010. This is my most "famous"
sculpture to date.
Video of Cosmos in motion.
 THE
DANCINATOR - a skeletal figure of a woman
dancing. It is a little over 5 feet tall and is made out
of scrap steel and found steel objects. It's gallery
listed price was $3000. Until March it will be available
for $1600 direct from my studio.
 THE
FAMILY
SOLD!
- Thanks!!!
- this sculpture is about 12 feet tall and is
made mostly out of 1-1/2" pipe. It is powder coated
bright red and depicts a mother, father, and a baby in
an abstract style.
The reason for
the March deadline is because I am trying to get the
gypsy wagon done, or mostly done, by March so I can take
it on my annual escape from allergies in March and
April.
If I still
have these sculptures after March, I will find a gallery
to show them and their prices will go back to the higher
prices. Now is the best chance to take advantage of this
opportunity.

The
downspout is one of several pieces I designed and
installed at HCNH. Other pieces include railings, wall
sconces and ground lighting. |
