People
There were nearly 25,000 people in Black Rock City by Saturday. There is a "rule" for the event that there be no spectators, only participants. One of the ways in which people became part of the event is by decorating themselves.
It was like a constant parade in which you were both seeing and being seen. Many people were painted - some wearing only paint! The costuming was tremendous.
