Camps

Black Rock City is the name of a temporary city created in the Black Rock Desert of northern Nevada for the Burning Man Festival.
We arrived early Monday morning on August 30 in the midst of a wind storm.  Our camp, "We Are God", could only be partially set-up due to the 70 mph winds that blew nearly all day.  Some of the camps were damaged by the high winds.

Our camp was decorated with Tibetan prayer flags, blankets and our concrete sculptures. We handed out gifts from God and painted ourselves and others. Here is a picture of Mrs. God painting a bindi on a local resident.

As the week went on, more people came and set up camps and our camp became more elaborate. Although we thought we did pretty well for our first time, there were other camps that were much more elaborate and spectacular.
