This Pontiac 6000
station wagon was donated as an art car project. The Recycle Car was
decorated by the participants in Prescott, Arizona's Earth Day
Celebration in Granite Creek Park on April 23, 2005. It will be
raffled off in June at the
Tsunami-On-The Square performance
festival. The money raised will go to Asian tsunami relief. Raffle
tickets will be $5 each. Can you imagine buying a running car for
$5? Not to mention that it is now a work of art!
With paint and silicone
caulk guns, a bunch of kids and adults begin the process of changing
a boring station wagon into.. (insert drum roll here) ....
Recycle Car!
What a wonderful and
successful event! Dozens of people added to the car and had a blast
doing it. It was a community building event and lots of people are
now excited about art cars and may even be making their own in the
next two months in preparation for the
Art On Wheels
parade on June 18th. |
