journey through the elements of Earth, Air,
Water and Fire and features great solo and
group dances as well as wild & captivating

ArcheDream
uses archetypal characters that perform
allegories, or dreams, to personify vital
issues pertaining to our lives.
ArcheDream’s costumes are illuminated with
ultra-violet light, which accentuates the
supernatural aspect and reveals the
dreamscape as the action unfolds.
They will be at Burning Man for the first
time this year and we are honored to host
their amazing performance.
Midnight Movie - "Koyaanisqatsi" by Godfrey
Reggio is the classic poetic video montage of man's
out of balance relationship with nature. Great music
by Philip Glass.
WEDNESDAY
Wedding Wednesday - Two of us Amphibians,
Thumper and Pleasure, will be
having their playa wedding on Wednesday on the east
side of the Man at 7:00 pm after a procession from
Amphibia. The procession begins at 6:45 pm.
You can get married at the same time in a group
ceremony performed by the illustrious immortals, Mr.
and Mrs. God.
Midnight Movie - "Baraka" - a film in the same
style as Koyaanisqatsi. It depicts man's place in
the world in a fantastic collage of video clips from
around the world.
THURSDAY
Fursday - wear your fur and animal print on
Thursday.
An Inconvenient
Truth - Live!
Thursday, August 30th at 10AM
Paul Valva is
District Director for The Climate Project - the
group of individuals personally trained by Al Gore
to give the Inconvenient Truth presentation. He will
be presenting the same slides shown in Al Gore's
movie plus others from his personal experience. This
live presentation will be interactive with the
audience - he explains in greater detail, and
answers questions. With an audience of experienced
and like-minded people that we'll have at BM, the
presentation will be much more about solutions and
action. He will spend most of the time
brain-storming with the audience about what can we
do about it - in our personal lives, at school, at
work, politically, etc. Then he share the
audience's responses with Mr. Gore back in
Nashville.
Thursday Night Dance Party. For the rest of the
week we will be playing ambient chill music in Amphibia but Thursday night we will let loose and
have a dance. We have a couple of DJ's lined up.
FRIDAY
Fishnet Friday - To continue our theme dress
days, fishnet will be worn by the intrepid
Amphibians on Friday.
Amphibia Group Photo Shoot - We will attempt to
take a group photo of all of the Amphibia campers at
about 11 AM on Friday.
The Green Man - Friday,
August 31 at 8PM
The
Cosmic Mass,
originally planned for Thursday night has canceled.
However, on Friday night at 8PM, several of the
Cosmic Mass staff will hold a similar ecstatic dance
ritual in Amphibia with the theme - The Green Man.
This will be a multimedia, audience participatory,
techno-dance ceremony/celebration that will be
really great.
SATURDAY
Ceremony to Awaken the Power of
Genetic Memory - at noon.
Deep within, each of us holds a vast
repository of information which has lain
dormant until now. Let us come together to
celebrate this most radical of gatherings,
hold ceremony to honor the elements and
spirit, and awaken the treasure within, the
gifts of our ancestors. Through the power of
intent we will walk the dream path of
remembrance and dive into an ocean of
forgiveness. It will be a truly auspicious
gathering and your presence is most welcomed.
A sandwich board with our daily schedule
will be set up in front of the camp during the
event.

In September of 2006, as we were driving
back from Burning Man exhausted after a week
of over-the-top fun, Juanita and I decided
that we were going to take a break from
Burning Man for 2007. We usually have some
project that we are involved in so taking a
year off sounded pretty good.
Somewhere along Hwy 95 between Fallon and
Las Vegas, only four hours after leaving the
playa, this idea for a giant structure
smacked me in the head. I played with it in
my mind as we drove down the desert road
toward home. I knew we weren't going to make
this thing but it passed the time.
A week later, the idea hit me again even
harder along with the realization that the
theme for Burning Man 2007 was going to be
The Green Man. At that point I knew we had
to create Amphibia. I called Juanita, who
was working in Phoenix to tell her the news.
I expected her to be mad at me for trying to
get her to give up our break from all the
work it takes to go to the playa. I was
happily surprised when she said, "Yes!" So,
instead of taking a break, we are going off
the deep end into a project that is
consuming our lives - in a good way.
Our friends jumped off the cliff with us
and, at this point, we have a team of
dedicated crazies building, donating
materials, and brainstorming ideas for
Amphibia. This is truly a team effort and, I
can already tell, the result is going to be
spectacular.
What a ride!
