This is the busiest Sadhu in the whole of the Kumbh Mela area. People are drawn to him like a magnet because he embodies selfless action. For a close-up photograph, refer to our Maha Shivratri coverage. He likes to say "Bam, bam, bam, Shiv, Shiv, Shiv. Om Namah Sivaya".

On the other side of the Ganga in what was sector five, sandbags are being pulled out and emptied. The straw will be piled up for burning later. Sheep have begun to replace pilgrims in many sectors of the Kumbh.

5.50pm on 23rd February 2001. A quiet sunset over the Yamuna at the Sangam. So long Ganga Ma - Adieu Prayaga Raja – Goodbye Kumbha Mela.
